長文を訳してください。お願いします。今日の朝6時までにお願いします。 In Japan, April is a month of beginnings and renewals, a sort of second New Year.April is the beginning of the new school year, and the start of careers for newly hired college graduates. It’s also the start of a new year in business. For Japanese baseball fans, the regular season of play opens in early April, with some well-known actor or politician throwing the first pitch. And April 1 is April Fools’ Day, the one day of the year reserved specially for practical jokes. The tradition goes back a long way. In the calendars of sixteenth-century Europe, New Year’s Day fell on March 25. It was celebrated in much the same way as it is today with parties and dancing late into the night. On the eighth day of the festival (that is, on April 1), people used to visit each other and exchange gifts. Then in 1582, a new calendar was introduced for the Christian world, and from that year the new year began on January 1. There were some people, however, who hadn’t heard or didn’t believe the change in the date, so they continued to celebrate New Year’s Day on March 25. These were the original “April Fools.” It is said that others world make fun of them by visiting them on April 1 and offreing them “fools’ presents.” Children have been responsible for most April Fool tricks over the years, such as telling a friend “your shoelace is undone” when it isn’t, or pointing up at some non-existent bird and shouting “look!”, and when the person checks, chanting “April Fool!” Adults, too, join in the April fun. They might send unsuspecting fellow workers on foolish errands for such things as a left-handed screwdriver ( or left-handed chopsticks!) or a bucket of steam. Sometimes telephone messages are left telling somebody to call Mr. Wolf or Mr. Fox and the number given is that of the local zoo.
